Sterling has extensive experience across the Education sector, delivering creative, print, storage and fulfillment solutions to HE and FE institutions throughout the UK.
Our list of prospectus clients is growing on a weekly basis. Last year we helped a number of universities at very short notice because their contracted printer couldn’t deliver.
We were able to do this because we have the capacity, the flexibility and the experience to deliver high quality printed products, on time and on budget, often to extremely challenging lead times.
Unrivalled press capacity - Sterling was the first UK printer to install 2 Heidelberg XL 105 presses in August 2008. These run at twice the speed of previous ‘conventional’ presses and have effectively doubled our capacity.
Reduce production quantities – massive efficiency savings in terms of make ready times means you can genuinely produce smaller quantities as and when you need them – with the potential to spread cash flow, update content and reduce storage costs.
Ongoing investment – our capital investment programme exceeded £6m in 2008 and additional spending will approach £1m in 2009. This will keep us ahead of the competition, it’s unprecedented in the industry and has provided us with the strong platform that we’re now operating from.
