Quality system ISO 9001

Sterling’s Quality Management System and hence all areas of our business are fully accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Certificate Number FM 32700, and have been ISO approved since 1995, including being externally audited twice a year.

The directors, managers and staff are all committed to providing our customers with quality and reliability in both production and service areas.

Within Sterling, ISO 9001:2000 is implemented using the Quality Record Management Software Q-Pulse and overseen by a Quality Systems Manager and Director, which reports to a Steering group which meets monthly and conducts regular internal audits.

The following measures are in place to allow Sterling to monitor customer requirements and satisfaction levels, and to continually improve our Quality Management System.

A copy of work produced is checked on all presses every 200 sheets. During the finishing process, copies are checked and signed off every 500 in a run of less than 5000, and every 1000 in a run of 5000 or more.

At each stage of production, a quality check is performed and signed off using the inspection and testing checklist that accompanies every job.

All customer complaints/compliments are recorded in Q-Pulse and monitored and acted upon if necessary to ensure continual improvement
of quality standards.

Employees are encouraged to provide feedback and suggest quality improvements using Sterling’s Intranet.

All of the above allow for us to monitor customer requirements /
satisfaction and hence continuous improvement of our Quality
Management System.
